Introducing Two Knit

Another gorgeous shop with an intriguing profile I had to share. Do you guys read through all the details... meaning profiles and such when you find lovely shops? It sure is interesting what you can learn about the sellers! Here is what the shop Two Knit has to say, "I am a high school student who learned to knit at the Waldorf School I have been attending since I was three years old. My grandmother and I have opened this shop together, which is why we call it TWO KNIT. I knit hats, scarves and gloves. My grandmother is from Argentina, where knitting and crochet were very much part of her upbringing and culture. In the early sixties she had a fashion show with her very own knitted designs. Later when she moved to the states she worked at a boutique in Beverly Hills where she created those juliet hats for Ali MacGraw. She was also commissioned by many stars to create one of a kind items such as sweaters, interior decor and dresses. In fact, she created many of the dresses Charo wore on her appearances in Vegas and the Merv Griffin Show.We have opened this shop together and will feature pieces we have each created as well as collaborated on." How awesome is that! A high school student!? ...AMAZING! And what a treasure to spend that quality time creating with your grandmother!

Introducing Artisans Gallery Team

The team states, "We are a network aligned to promote the goals of the Handmade Revolution, to connect and support each other across language and geographic barriers, and to recognize and encourage professional standards and unique artistic voices." This is an excellent source for finding amazing handmade creations and I love the support and recognition they give to artisans. Currently they are running a seven day wedding challenge. New Artwork by Jodi Ulschmid

Scroll down to next post for UPrinting Postcard Giveaway.

Along side my recent room remodel... which is now my art room (see before and afters HERE) I've been busy with new art projects. My daughter and husband have been my biggest inspirations for these new pieces. Here are a few:

These new bedtime prayer typography prints came about for a couple reasons. One, I grew up with a special bedtime prayer over my bed and wanted my daughter to have one in her room that she will be able to enjoy for many years to come. Two, whenever I try and shop for a religious gift for a baptism or if I just want something that involves faith... I can't find anything I like... so I created something fun that will be a creative reminder of God. I made several color options and I have a couple different prayer sayings in my shop. I love how they turned out and that they focus on "I pray"... it's something so important to share with a child. They come from my original acrylic painting and are digitally color changed. The text has an awesome dreamy effect. Browse through the shop if your interested in more details.

{Grow with Me Green Faith Typography Print}

{Teal Bedtime Prayer}

I also enjoy making inspirational/motivational digital art prints that include some of my illustrations. I love creating art with a special meaning, and I hope others will be inspired by them too.

{Teal Enjoy the Ride 8x10 Art Print}

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my latest work. It has been a lot of fun and I'm working on a brand new piece in a medium I haven't used for years... so stay tuned to see what I come up with.
